I am sitting in a powerless house right now.
If you came home to a powerless house or apartment and had a disconnect notice on the doorknob saying that it was disconnected for a past due amount, what would you assume?
Yet I am the bad guy for assuming she wasn't paying bills with money I gave her.
So much for enjoying some pasta and garlic bread for dinner.
